Magic Circle Close-Up Magician · Guildford
Genuinely local
Guildford is a short drive from home in Farnham, straight up over the Hog's Back, and it's one of the parts of Surrey I work most often. Over the years that's meant Loseley Park and the Tithe Barn, Gate Street Barn at Bramley, Clock Barn Hall just outside Godalming and Burrows Lea at Shere. Guildford sits comfortably inside the area I cover from Farnham, so there's no travel charge on top.
Having worked a venue before makes a genuine difference. It tells me whether the drinks reception spills out onto a lawn or stays in one room, whether guests are standing or seated early, and where the natural gaps in your running order are going to fall. That's the difference between a magician who fits into your day and one your coordinator has to work around.
As a full member of The Magic Circle with over 15 years of experience, Richard brings close-up magic and mind-reading to weddings across Guildford and the surrounding Surrey Hills, from the drinks reception through to the evening party.

Beyond weddings
Weddings make up much of Richard's diary in Guildford, but he's just as regularly hired for adult birthday parties, anniversaries and private celebrations across the town, anywhere a close-up magician can turn a good party into one people are still talking about the next day. As a full member of The Magic Circle, the same standard of magic shows up whether it's a wedding breakfast or a milestone birthday at home.
"We hired Richard for our wedding after seeing his stellar reviews, and he did not disappoint. His magic was both sophisticated and fun, making our guests feel amazed and engaged throughout the evening."Laura & David H., Wedding, Surrey

Common questions
It depends on how long you'd like Richard performing and which stages of the day he covers. A drinks reception only costs less than covering the reception, breakfast and evening party. Full prices are listed on the pricing page, or get in touch with your date and rough timings for an exact quote.
